Framing
Paintings
Framing is just as important as the art piece itself. It not only
protects the art piece from unwanted damages but also acts as
a separator from the wall it hangs on. If done well, the framing
can ultimately help complement the art piece and bring further
definition to it.
Paintings needs to be protected at all times. This requires
front and back protection to prevent damages caused by knocks,
abrasions, dust, pollution and biological pest. For this reason,
backing boards and good glazing methods are worth investing
if you want your art piece to last longer then you. Good backing
boards are usually made of Foam Cor and Corflute. Ensure that
the backing board is fasten well to the frame.
Like most delivery packages you get these days, there is no
different as to how paintings should be framed. It should be
well cushioned and not too tightly framed on the inside. This
would allow the frame to absorbed the initial impact from any
knocks. There are also other considerations to framing. This
includes aesthetics and historical reasons in relation to the
art piece itself.
